We're putting a team together for Samantha's Grace to walk in the March of Dimes March for Babies that will be held at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The walk begins at 9am with registration at 8am. We are the ambassador family for the March of Dimes in Tippecanoe County, so you can look forward to a great speech from Grant! This is a great event - a lot of fun and a good way to get out for a little exercise on a beautiful spring morning. Our first official fundraiser was held on August 14, 2009 and was put on by Cara's Kappa Alpha Theta sorority sisters. Cara's sorority sisters and their significant others gathered at the Four Winds Resort on Lake Monroe near Bloomington, Indiana for a luau and silent auction. Money was raised during the silent auction that attendees had donated and over $2,500 was netted for Samantha's Grace. We are hoping to make this an annual event and are currently planning the 2010 event.

Future events in the planning stages are a golf outing, 5K Run/Walk and an annual Donation Drive. The Donation Drive will most likely be our first order of business. Many of you have been anxiously awaiting the ability to donate to Samanta's Grace since we first mentioned the idea of this foundation upon her death. Who knew it would take so long?!?
